My week in Westminster begins every Monday as legislation, including the Scotland Bill and the EU referendum Bill, continues to be debated, and it is always a pleasure to meet school and community groups as well as individuals and families who travel down to London during the week. When I arrive back in Cheadle on Thursday evenings a packed schedule of visits and events awaits and it starts with my Friday Surgery, which I have been holding at venues all over the constituency.
From large gatherings such as the Bramhall Tea party attended by over 200 residents to a nice tea and chat at Abney Garden Teas, I am constantly reminded of the great community spirit here in Cheadle. And with the 'Festival' season well under way the weather has, so far, been kind to us too. The vintage themed Bramhall Festival was a roaring success and crowds flocked to the recent Cheadle and Heald Green festivals.....let's hope the weather holds for the Gatley Carnival parade this weekend!
I'm holding surgeries around the constituency on Friday's and residents who want to book an appointment can give my office a call on 486 6875, or alternatively email me at [email protected]
