Moorfield Primary School on Lyndhurst Avenue in Hazel Grove, has been left without a crossing patrol since February. The road is very busy and with no crossing patrol it is putting children's safety at risk.
One concerned parent, Jane Robinson, has started a petition to press Stockport Council to provide a crossing patrol for the school. Mary has signed the petition and you can too at :

Cllr John Wright has called for the Council to repaint the markings on the road and for signage to warn motorists of the crossing. The Council has agreed to do this and is advertising the crossing patrol job, which has had 5 applications by this weekend.
