The Aerodrome was home to a long line of aeronautical development, with Avro producing the iconic Lancaster bomber during the second world war and the Vulcan bomber, famous for its long range mission during the Falklands War.
The site is a huge part of Woodfords heritage and the new museum, with over 30,000 exhibits, is a celebration of this long history.
The Museums volunteers are putting the finishing touches to the exhibition and will be opening its doors to the public in the coming weeks.
